Our Wines,
Handpicked for a Reason

Wines That Earn Their Place.

We keep our portfolio tight on purpose. At Pllana, we don’t release a wine unless it’s earned its place — for its flavour, structure, origin, and how it holds its own in a room.

Each bottle is a reflection of South Australia’s best growing regions, made in partnership with winemakers who know the land like the back of their hand.

These are wines that speak clearly, pair generously, and evolve beautifully — with enough technical depth to satisfy the somm, and enough ease to please the everyday drinker.

Whether you’re pouring for guests, matching with dinner, or just reaching for something reliable. These are the bottles we back, vintage after vintage.

'Clementine’ Riesling — Watervale, Clare Valley

Style: Dry Riesling | Region: Watervale, Clare Valley | Vintage: 2022 | Alcohol: 11.5% | Winemaking: Free-run juice, stainless steel fermentation, minimal intervention

Why It’s In Our Portfolio:
This is our signature white. Crisp, tightly wound, and perfectly structured. A classic Clare Valley Riesling with a modern, mineral edge. The fruit comes from established vineyards in Watervale, grown on limestone soils that deliver signature lime and floral notes. It’s made by winemakers with deep roots in the region and a commitment to precision.

Tasting Notes:
Green apple, lime blossom, and wet stone on the nose. Crunchy citrus on the palate with bright acid and a dry, steely finish.

Pairing:
Fresh oysters, Thai green curry, or a soft goat’s cheese. The acidity cuts through spice and salt like a dream and makes it a standout with spring vegetables or fish and chips on the beach.

‘Hans’ Old Vine Grenache - Barossa

Style: Medium-bodied Grenache | Region: Barossa Valley | Vintage: 2022 | Alcohol: 13.8% | Winemaking: Wild ferment, aged in seasoned French oak

Why It’s In Our Portfolio: Old vines. Real character. This is a Barossa Grenache that feels like home. Bright-fruited but earthy, with just enough savoury spice to hold your attention. It’s the kind of wine that plays nicely with food but still shines on its own. We selected it for its ability to age with grace or open with charm.

Tasting Notes: Red cherry, raspberry, baking spice and subtle cedar. Silky tannins and a dry, peppery finish.

Pairing: Duck breast with cherry glaze, grilled eggplant with tahini, or just a roast chook and crusty bread. This is your Sunday lunch Grenache. No rules, just right.

Liam’ Shiraz - Barossa

Style: Full-bodied Shiraz | Region: Barossa Valley | Vintage: 2021 | Alcohol: 14.5% | Winemaking: Open ferment, matured in American and French oak barrels

Why It’s In Our Portfolio: This is the heavyweight. The kind of wine that speaks for itself but still knows when to listen. We chose this Shiraz because it balances backbone with polish. Classic Barossa power, with enough elegance to elevate a serious meal or celebration.

Tasting Notes: Blackberry, dark chocolate, vanilla and spice. Concentrated fruit, integrated tannins, and a long, plush finish.

Pairing: Slow-cooked beef, hard cheeses, or a dark chocolate and cherry tart. It also happens to be perfect for nights when the fireplace is on and the music’s just a little loud.

Pinot Grigio - Riverland & Adelaide Hills

Style: Light-bodied white | Region: Riverland & Adelaide Hills | Vintage: 2022 | Alcohol: 12.5% | Winemaking: Cold fermented, bottled early for freshness

Why It’s In Our Portfolio: Approachable, fresh, and effortlessly drinkable. This Pinot Grigio is our summer essential. Sourced from vineyards in warm Riverland and cool Adelaide Hills to balance ripe fruit with refreshing acid, it’s built for beach picnics, rooftop drinks, and dinners that start with anchovies.

Tasting Notes: Pear, lemon zest, white peach. Light and clean with a juicy finish and hint of almond.

Pairing: Seafood pasta, grilled zucchini, or a bright citrus salad. It’s the bottle that disappears first at any barbecue.

Shiraz - Riverland

Style: Generous but approachable Shiraz | Region: Riverland | Vintage: 2021 | Alcohol: 14% | Winemaking: Partial oak maturation for smooth texture

Why It’s In Our Portfolio: Not every Shiraz needs to flex. This one is made to be shared. Smooth, round, and reliably delicious. It’s the bottle we reach for midweek or pack on a weekend away. Versatile and generous, with that unmistakable South Australian fruit profile.

Tasting Notes: Plum, mocha, black pepper. Plush, medium tannins and just enough grip to keep it interesting.

Pairing: Charcuterie, sausages on the grill, or takeaway pizza when you’re not in the mood to cook. Think comfort, but elevated.
